Power Over Ethernet technology allows Ethernet devices, such as IP cameras, to be powered from a connected PoE device, such as a PoE NVR or PoE switch. The power-sourcing PoE device is called a PSE (Power Sourcing Equipment). The REVO Ultra line supports PoE operation. High-quality Ethernet cable must be used. Normal maximum cable length is 328 feet (100 meters), but some REVO Ultra cameras can be used in Extended Mode operation with up to 800 feet of high-quality Ethernet cable. Pre-made Ethernet cables in varying lengths between 25 and 300 feet are available directly from REVO.
